A comprehensive module for integrating Google reviews into your online store. Thanks to this, you will be able to increase the confidence of buyers in your site many times over!

How does the add-on work?

  1. Authorization is in progress using OAuth 2;
  2. Then, company reviews are requested, which are stored in the site database;
  3. A simple output of information (these same reviews) from the database on the page, or elsewhere by the module through the schemes.

For parsing reviews, there must be appropriate settings in the Google Cloud Platform (how to do this is described below)

In addition to the settings, you will need to submit a request to enable the business api for your google account and wait a few days for its approval.

The module contains detailed instructions, according to which you can configure it yourself.

Capabilities

  • Displaying reviews on a separate page;
  • Displaying reviews as a regular module in a position in opencart layouts;
  • Output modes for the module - "list", "grid", "slider", for the page - "list";
  • Source selection - Google Api or product reviews of your store;
  • Update by button or via cron job;
  • "Show more" button for asynchronous loading as an option;
  • Filtering reviews: by rating, by comment;
  • Avatar size setting;
  • Setting a withdrawal limit;
  • Possibility to cut the review text;
  • Ability to specify a link to a Google map for the "Add review" button on the reviews page - as an option;
  • Information block on the reviews page - as an option;
  • Now the module supports several companies, i.e. receiving feedback from several pages at once;
  • Conclusion of the company's response to the review;
  • Displaying the name of the company in the list of reviews;
  • Block Google Rating on the reviews page or in the module;
  • Floating Google Rank widget at the bottom of the site.

Connecting the Google API takes place in a couple of clicks:

  1. You must have access to an account in "Google - My Business", or delegated access to it;
  2. Then create a project in Google Cloud Platform;
  3. Request access to enable the Google My Business API through a special form;
  4. Enable Google My Business API for the project;
  5. Go through the authorization settings for the application;
  6. All is ready. Fill in the fields of the Client ID, Client secret and Project ID module. Now you can get reviews and write them to the site database. Click the "Get Reviews" button.
